Where is your school located? What is your area like?
In Chicago, in Edison Park. My area has lots of old homes, bulit in the 1910-1930's, with some newer homes. We have a main street with lots of resturants, shops, parks, and a train station to take the train downtown.
What learning spaces do you have in your school (number of classrooms, library, music room, number of buildings etc)?
At Ebinger Elementary we have a library, music room, auditorium, gym, caferteria, 3 buildings. We have 22 classrooms
What outdoor and indoor recreation areas/facilities do you have?
gym, running track and playground
Do you have any special before, during, or after school programs at your school?Yes
Academic Achieveent, Band, Choir, Battle of the Books, Student Council, Magic Club, Gardening Club, Color Guard, Safety Patrol, Newspaper, Yearbook, Girls/Boy Scouts, Basketball, Volleyball, Cross Country, Cheerleading, French/Spanish Classes.
What do you learn in school, and in which language(s)?
Math, Science, Reading, Writing, Music, Gym, Libary, Art, Social Studies and in English
Does your school make use of technology (computers, Smartboards, laptops, ipads, televisions, etc)? About how many of each?
Our School is getting a brand new computer lab this spring, and next year we will have a Ipad cart to go around classroom to classroom. Next fall we will have smartboards in each class.
How many students attend your school? How many in your grade? In your class? How many adults work at your school?
We have 600 students - Grades Prek-8. 90 kids are in 2nd Grade. 31 are in my class. 58 Adults work at my school.
What is your school’s schedule (start and end times, length and number of breaks, length of school year)?
We start school at 8:50 am, and end at 2:45 pm. With 20 mins for lunch, 20 mins for recess. We start in September and end Mid June. Next year we will start at 8:00 am and end at 3:30pm

What do you wear to school?
We wear a uniform. White or light blue top, and navy or black bottoms.
Does your school have a cafeteria? Or, a hot lunch program? What kinds of food do students eat at school?
We hav a cafeteria, with a hot lunch program and salad bar, but I never eat it, I bring my own lunch.
Do you celebrate any special days at your school (100s Day, Crazy Hair Day, Backwards Day, Sports Day, holidays)?
100 Days, Opposite Day, 80's Day, College Day, Hero Day, Circus Days, Hallowneen, Valentines Day, St. Patricks day
What do you do for fun at school?
Circus Day, outings to hockey games, skating, movies, fall fest, concerts.
What do you do after school?
Play with my friends or go to specials like Violin, swim lessons, gymnastics, soccer.
